About the Butler Shadowall Wall Panel

The Shadowall panel is Butler’s semi-concealed-fastener wall panel. It’s the choice when you want a cleaner, more finished exterior than an exposed-fastener wall without stepping up to an insulated or architectural panel. It covers 36 inches per panel, runs one piece from base to eave, and carries the same 25-year ButlerCote™ finish that protects Butler roofs and walls across North America.

What Sets Shadowall Apart

Semi-concealed fasteners, deeper shadow line. The fastener seats down in a groove inside each corrugation instead of sitting out on the flat. The result is a tidier wall with a stronger shadow line than a standard exposed-fastener panel — a step up in looks at single-skin pricing.

Hemmed side laps. Every exposed side lap is folded over, so there’s no raw cut edge to catch the eye or your hands. Cleaner finish, safer handling.

Punched or unpunched. Factory-punched panels arrive with holes pre-set to line up with new Butler structural members, which speeds erection on a matched building. Unpunched panels carry no factory holes and are field-drilled on site — the right call for retrofits, odd heights, or any wall where you’re matching existing conditions.

Mitered vs. square top cut. Shadowall is mitered at the top to nest into a Butlerib II roof at a ½:12 slope, and square-cut for other roof panels and slopes. Confirm your roof panel and slope before ordering so the top cut matches — getting this right up front saves a reorder.

Finishes & Colors

Shadowall comes standard in 26-gauge and is available in 24-gauge in select ButlerCote colors. This range of “cool colors” has a Solar Reflectance Index of 29 or higher, plus Light Gray for interior-facing applications. Ask for the current color card with your quote.
